A LONG overdue post - here's what I'm up to!

So it's been a while...

Back in July I left Norway to go shoot in Paris for 3 months - a kids sitcom hybrid show (live action and 3D animation) - based on Snow White and the seven dwarves. Little did I know, when I got here, that Netflix had picked up the show - and it became an even bigger deal than I thought. 

It's been such a wonderful ride, I've had such an amazing time, so much that's it's been difficult to keep up with updates on what I've been up to and how things are going. So I thought I'd put in a final thought here before it's time to head back to Norway for a while.

The show, in itself, has been an incredible educational experience, working with green screens and imaginary dwarves (well they're real - but get put in after) - highly technical skills I'd yet to hone, and now I've been able to play around and have a blast.

Working with the kids and the other grown-ups has been such a fantastic experience. These costars are incredibly gifted, generous, and funny - making everyday a joy to come to work. The crew: incredibly skilled, professional, funny, and always making me look my best.

So what's there to say now? Well, I will miss this job, and these people tremendously, but I don't think it's the last time I see them. I have grown to love Paris, and am seriously considering a move here in the new year. If you know me, you know I can't sit still. 

Before this gets sappy or sad, I'd just like to say merci a tous, and I hope this is the beginning of something wonderful.

Værsågod is a great opportunity for artists/actors from all over Norway to come perform a little, try out some new or old material - a chance to perform for our peers and keep the instrument and craft active. It's like an open mic for the actor. SO come see me tomorrow!!

I'm performing a little monologue - should be fun just to do a little something - and there's a talkback after.

Westworld's Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is the moderator - so it should be a wonderful night :)

Updates - Actor's Union, Commercials, photoshoot etc.

WOAH so much to say for the US election, but I am not going to talk about that here. Needless to say there have been tears and I am thoroughly disappointed.

Just wanted to post some recent updates:

I have joined the Actor's Union here in Norway - Norsk Skuespillerforbund which I am very excited about. I hope it will help in the long run - it's not really the same as in the US, but it is there to protect the actors' rights and interests. Plus a ton of information on working internationally that I NEVER would've known had it not been for them.

In OTHER news - I performed for casting and regular directors, artistic directors for theaters and so on a couple of weeks ago, and even went to Bergen to audition for the National stage. So fingers crossed things start shifting gears and moving in the future - 2017 is looking good.

Commercial wise I've had a couple of auditions and did one job, so waiting to hear from another. It's honestly just a great way to meet people in the business and everyone is so nice and passionate about their work here - it's nice to be around. 

Hopefully will be able to share what I did this July with you soon - I've seen it and it came out REALLY well! 

Also look for new SHOOT photos...I did a Game of Thrones inspired shoot, and a Girl With a Dragon Tattoo inspired shoot (see photo below) with the very talented Øyvind Ganesh Eknes.

Ok I realise this was a quick bragging post...but sometimes you have to put things out there so you can look back and think...you know what? August - November felt slow....but I did SO much!

Hoping your day picks up (esp. to you in the US) I miss you guys and know you will fight like hell for your rights
